The Virtuoso centers on a skilled professional assassin who takes on a new mission to repay a debt to his mentor. Unlike his previous assignments, this time he receives minimal intelligence about his target. He is given neither the name nor a photo of the target; only the information that the target will be at a small-town diner at five o'clock. To complete his mission, the Virtuoso must track down and eliminate his prey, which could be any customer in the diner—including the enigmatic waitress. Although the waitress may not be the assassin’s intended target, she becomes a source of distraction that threatens the mission and endangers his life.
