Cole is an ordinary, likable man whose life has taken a dark turn after witnessing a brutal murder-suicide. Since that traumatic event, everything has spiraled downward—his wife has left him, he’s plagued by disturbing hallucinations, and his once-promising career has plummeted to a blue-collar job with a carpet cleaning company. Just when it seems Cole has hit rock bottom, he receives a call for an overnight cleaning assignment at an ornate Italian-style mansion on the outskirts of the city. Accompanying him is Henry, the wealthy and condescending homeowner, who seems to derive twisted amusement from letting Cole believe he may have just killed his wife. A mysterious reddish stain on the carpet, a knife violently stabbing into roasted rabbit, and an incessantly ringing cell phone all raise the question: is this truly a murder, or is Cole losing his grip on reality? With dynamic camera work and an eerily playful sound design, this suspenseful black comedy keeps audiences on edge, delivering twists and tension right up to the final frame.
